We all settled at the dining tableโincluding him. Mom and Dad were talking about something, and Yuvraj was busy on a call. So I took the chance and quietly told a servant to place a bowl of rice in front of him.
Food was served, and just as we were about to start eating, Dad said, โYuvraj, you can talk later. Have lunch first.โ
He nodded and put his phone aside.
I was eating slowly, all the while watching him. When is he going to eat that rice? Goddd. I kept glancing at him like an idiot.
Suddenly, his gaze shifted to me. I froze. Something about that look made me feelโฆ weird. My heart skipped, and without thinking, I started eating like a monkey.
Shit. What am I even doing?
How can someone affect you just by their eyes? His gazeโughโit drives me crazy.
My deep thoughts were interrupted by the sound of him coughing. I turned toward him and saw that he had finished all the rice. He was coughing hard and looked straight at me.
And Iโฆ I slightly smirked.

I was on a call and I noticed that she was giving signs to the servant, and he put a rice bowl in front of me. I examined the bowl. "Kya kiya hoga isne?" I thought, but my thought was disturbed by Sir.
She was eating too slow, like waiting for something. I turned my head and watched her. She suddenly sat straight and started eating too fast. She's cute.
Ohk, let's see what she has done. I started eating rice. The taste was weird. Damn, this is... oh God, this girl.
Well, she prepared it for me, so let's eat it. I don't want to spoil her hard work. I finished all the rice but suddenly I started coughing very hard. Sir and Ma'am came towards me.
"Yuvraj, what happened? Pani piyo!" I drank the water and saw that she was smirking.
Donโt worry, mermaid. I like your food. I can also eat poison from your hands. It's just a dog food which you prepared for me specially.
After some time, I felt a little bit relaxed, but my health was not fully recovered yet.
"Yuvraj, I think you need to rest here for the night," Sir said.
But I needed to find out something that was more important. "No Sir, it's fine. I have some work."
"Yuvraj, we say you have to stay, so it means you have to," Ma'am ordered me, and now I couldn't deny it. It would not be good.
"Okay Ma'am, if you say so."
"Manohar, guest room ready karwa dijiye. Yuvraj, agar aapko kuch bhi chahiye hoga to bata dena, don't be shy."
I nodded and smiled respectfully.
I saw Yuvi was very angry. But what can I do, mermaid? Yourโoh sorryโour parents requested me, so I can't deny, na?

She was fuming now, the anger simmering in her eyes as she stormed into her room. The door shut behind her with a soft thud as she flopped onto the bed, face-first into the pillow.
"Why is he not leaving us alone? Bloody kutta," she cursed under her breath, clenching the pillow tighter.
Her head was buzzing with frustration. "I need a drink now... but I have to wait for them to sleep. Aahnnnnn," she groaned dramatically.
With a loud sigh, she got up and changed into a loose crop top and a pair of shortsโher go-to comfort wear. Once changed, she crawled back onto the bed and stretched out with a sigh of relief.
"This is called comfort, man. Bas sab so jaye ab. Tab tak... I can listen to some music for a few minutes."
An hour passed.
The house was silent now. She stepped out of her room carefully, eyes scanning the hallway. Seeing no one, she tiptoed quickly toward the bar counter, like a thief in her own home.
She grabbed a glass, poured herself some wine, and just as she was about to take a sipโ
A voice echoed from the darkness behind her.
Startled, she froze, glass halfway to her lips, and slowly turned around.
